Four Strings Tours was created by Dr. Ryan Joseph (fiddle, mandolin and background vocalist for country music superstar, Alan Jackson, as well as the Coordinator of Strings at Belmont University) and his wife, singer/songwriter, Danika Portz. 

 

"We noticed a disconnect between music programs and the trips they were taking every year. It seemed like most options for students were limited to theme park destinations, which we didn't feel was a very productive way to experience what opportunities are really available for people who may want to pursue music - or even just experience and appreciate music." said Dr. Ryan Joseph. "We did some digging and nothing like this exists in the capacity we knew we could create. After living and working in Nashville for over 16 years, we knew we had a window into this city that is very unique and we want to share that with others. That's when we knew we needed to create Four Strings Tours." 

 

Four Strings Tours offers schools and students an alternative to the typical touring destinations and activities: the chance to visit Music City in the most immersive and authentic way possible- through the perspective of someone working as a professional in the music industry.
